This position is responsible for providing professional development and differentiated and targeted support assistan ce to local districts based on their unique needs and goals.
Master's Degree in Education or a related field.
Qualifications Certification in Special Education.
Minimum of three years of recent experience in the field of special education.
Background in special education as an educator, and/or administrator, Special Knowledge & with data analysis, problem identification, root cause analysis, andSkills potential solutions.
High expectations for student achievement of students with disabilities.
Successful experience in, and affinity toward, collaboration and learning from multiple sources.
Should be paired with the ability to reflect a strong leadership capacity.
Experience providing successful professional development.
Strong abilities in communication with diverse groups of stakeholders.
High professional written and verbal communication is evident.
Proactive, professional communication and collaboration.
Frequent travel is required.
Working primarily with LEA special education and campus leaders, increase the knowledge, skills, and motivation of LEA teams to analyze M ajor Responsibilities data relevant to students receiving special education services and supports; identify a problem; reflect critically on end-user input, root causes and potential solutions; create a plan for improvement that includes sustainability of progress; and maintain a cadence of internal accountability.
Deliver or facilitate regional professional development and support of LEAs regarding special education monitoring procedures and expectations.
Prioritize, protect, and attend all required ESC Liaison week activities and participate in feedback loops and collaborative activities that connect policy and practice statewide.
Complete one (1) observation that aligns to essential functions and follow-up debrief meeting with TEA Grant Manager annually.
